(That’s not to say that when I’m blogging in 30 years’ time I still won’t be rollin it out …)
Well, what a day!
Not only did I get a surprise visit from my lovely friend Barbara in Cambridge - she’s here in Brighton for a big important people meeting …
<---- you remember her?
As well as treating me to a coffee and cream tea scone, catching up on gossip and general loveliness, she brought me a fab digital flip camera for the teachers to use at college … I am just the custodian … but will they ever get a chance to get their mitts on it it?
Will they heck!
Sorry Barbara, of course they will … ;)
But also …
drumroll ….
I received my Make Mine Modern swap parcel when I got home -
Yay! Yay! Yay!
My secret partner was Terrie - who has the best user name ever on flickr: chocolate_isthe_best_medicine. The swap was a yard and half of fabric and some handmade goodies …
And by golly it was worth waiting for !!
I’ll let the pictures do most of the talking here (although they’re a bit crappy I’m afraid … my camera is sulking)
oh, do I love a parcel!
At last I’ve got some Denyse Schmidt Greenfield Hill in Dogwood - I don’t care what other people say about this range … now that I can touch it and stroke it, I love it even more than I thought I would …
I’m going to be really nerdy and scan the meandering print (far left)
to practise my FMQ!
to practise my FMQ!
wonderful reversible pincushion!
(with great sewing charm pins)
and this beautiful beautiful cushion cover
I’ll try and get a better picture tomorrow …

Terrie even remembered my allergy to blue! I love you Terrie :)
and there’s some wonderful …
fussy cutting …
in these blocks …
don’t you think?
oh scrummaliciousness!
oh wait …
… all this and chocolate too?
I even get excited by the ziploc bags!
You can see just how well this cushion goes with my colours, eh?
Terrie, I am so very very happy and thankful that you were my partner. Gulp.
